It all began with a dream and a bold idea. In spring 2009, the Central European Deepsky Imaging Conference CEDIC took place for the first time at the Ars Electronica Center Linz. Astrophotographers from Upper Austria realised their idea of an international conference on astrophotography and CEDIC is now one of the world's most important and respected conferences. We would like to invite you to the opening of the 7th CEDIC.
An international telescope exhibition and a spectacular demonstration in the AEC's Deep Space await you. High-resolution images in 16 x 9 metre format of galaxies and gas nebulae, taken by the world's best astrophotographers, will transport you into the vastness of space and amaze you. As a special highlight from current research, you can expect an insight into the latest large space telescope missions "James Webb" and "Euclid".
The exhibition and the opening evening are open to the public and admission is free. Don't miss out on this international event and take your family and friends with you!
We would be delighted to welcome you to the opening evening of CEDIC.
